Please join us for an inspiring and educational retreat for Statler Stitcher owners to be held at the beautiful Lodge at Simpsonwood Conference and Retreat Center, Atlanta, GA. (www.simpsonwood.org).
Here you will have the opportunity to take classes with 4 exceptional teachers: Tammy Finkler, Julie Lawson, Kay Oft and Al Hutchins. All of the classes will incorporate the new functions in CreativeStudio Version 2. In addition to the classes, there will be evening events and ample free time to practice your new skills, stroll the lovely grounds of Simpsonwood and enjoy getting to know new friends. The Lodge offers attractive, comfortable guest rooms with private baths and delicious meals.

- Kathi Carter (Alabama) – Lanett area quilter Kathi Carter has been selected as a semifinalist for the 2009 AQS Quilt EXPO from July 22-25 at the Knoxville Convention Center in Knoxville, Tenn. She has been chose to join 303 others in the annual contest. In its first year at this location, the competition is offering more than $42,000 in total prize money. The quilt Macie, represents hundreds of hours of work.
- Regina Carter (Georgia) - “Can You See Me Now” selected as semifinalist for the 2009 25th Anniversary American Quilters Society Show in Paducah, KY. Click here to read the article and see a picture of Regina with her quilt.
- Jonnie Grimm (Georgia) - “Ramblin Rose Meets Jamestown” won First Place – Machine Quilting Large in the February 2009 Hartwell Juried Show. Click here to see a picture of Jonnie and her quilt.
- Mavis Rosbach (Georgia) - Coming on the cover of Easy Quilts by Fons & Porter is a quilt made by Jodie Davis and quilted by one of Pat’s Calico Cottage Sales Representatives, Mavis Rosbach. The magazine will be on sale May 5th - July 31th.

- Statler Sisters Yahoo Group - If you are not already members of the Statler Sisters Yahoo Group it is worth your time to join. There is much valuable information shared on the site plus many free patterns and other useful information available.
How do you join?
Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Statler_Sisters/ Click on the button that says Join This Group. Yahoo will send a message to the moderator of the group and she in turn will notify you when your membership has been approved (usually within a day).
