Pat: As the owner and operator of Pat’s
Calico Cottage, I have been involved with sewing and the crafts
show market for about 20 years. I have sewn since childhood, as
my mother was a custom garment seamstress. I taught sewing with
the 4-H program when my children were that age, and after. I also
have taught machine appliqué for the last 12 years both privately
and in several area quilt shops. I have been interested in quilts
all my life; both grandmothers were fine hand quilters. I took my
first class back in the 70’s and was hooked. Shortly after
moving to Georgia, I purchased a Gammill Quilting Machine and have
been quilting for others for nine years. I am a member of American
Quilt Society, International Machine Quilters Association, Georgia
Professional Machine Quilters, Gwinnett Quilt Guild, and Georgia
Quilt Council. I also owned and operated a Children’s clothing
store for almost 20 years. I love quilting and am happy to share
my knowledge and experience with others. My goal is to help you
select the Gammill that will meet your needs and expectations; and
that you will enjoy quilting as much as I do.
Richard is my husband and partner. He brings experience in industry
including aircraft mechanic, Research and Development, Industrial
Maintenance, Procurement and Management. He now is in charge of
our service and installation operations, providing both service
of machines as well as maintenance training.
We feel that our prior experiences in retail operations, management
in industry, skill in machine quilting, and the love of people will
be a great asset. Our motto is the SERVICE YOU EXPECT AND DESERVE,
NOTHING LESS. We will go that extra mile to ensure you are satisfied.
