BORDERLINES AND QUILT THERAPY

Do borders frighten you? Not any more! Pam will give you the confidence on how to tackle several borders. Learn three border techniques that will change the way you approach your next quilt. Several samples and techniques will be covered in class along with a workbook to keep notes. Working with corners and sashing/lattice is the goal using Pam's stencils as reference points to develop outstanding designs to help speed up your quilting with very little marking. You will be amazed how simple borders can be. Also discover how to deal with problem borders or lattice, and which designs work best in these areas.

Do you have a problem quilt? Help is on the way. Bring that quilt to class for a little bit of counseling. Pam Clarke will guide you on how to finish that problem quilt. Learn what to do with wavy borders, plump blocks, poor piecing, or just a difficult quilt. Several samples and handouts will be available on how to pick the correct design to take away problems in piecing. Discover the secrets on how to enhance any quilt with choosing the correct design from background quilting to negative blocks. When to do ditch quilting, all-over designs or custom quilting. THIS CLASS IS NOT JUST FOR PROBLEM QUILTS. Bring your quilt to class and we will discuss how to read your quilt.

Workshop space is limited to 8 students and will be available on a first come basis.  A $75.00 deposit to reserve a space is required with registration, no later than 60 days prior to the workshop beginning, deadline date is August 7, 2004.  Please send the registration form and a deposit to Pat's Calico Cottage at the above/below address.  All checks should be made payable to Pat's Calico Cottage.   The balance of your student fee $125.00 is due to Pat's Calico Cottage 30 days before the workshop, deadline date is September 7, 2004.
